FlexiClean's one of the winners at the Hammarby Sjöstads Environmental Engineering Competition

The jury's motivation: The urban environment is characterized by a high proportion of hard surfaces: roofs and streets. The rain falling mixed with emissions from traffic, combustion and corrosion of building materials. This so-called storm water should be purified before it reaches waterways.

It is very costly to clean up the entire volume of water before discharge. One way is to tackle this problem is to choose the areas with the worst water quality and therefore make a local treatment.

The award-winning proposal Flexi Clean means that a filter cartridge is placed in the wells from areas with significantly polluted stormwater. The product has great merit in such a way that it works in different types of wells and allows for different filter materials. It is also easy to work with and do not disturb other maintenance work in the wells. Flexi Clean is therefore a valuable contribution in the efforts to improve the urban water environment.
